A patio laid on its own rarely fixes a garden. Levels, drainage, walling, planting and lighting all have to answer to each other, and we design and build the lot as one job.

Block paving and setts on a compacted sub-base with edge restraints haunched in concrete, so the pattern stays true and the edges do not creep after two winters.

We work out the falls, the retaining and the drainage on paper before a machine turns up. On a sloping Cardiff garden that is most of the job solved.
Dug out to depth and carted off site. Soft ground gets removed rather than covered over, and the arisings do not end up buried under your new terrace.
Stone laid and whacked down in layers, not one deep dump. That build-up carries the load, not the slab sitting on top of it.
Channel drains, soakaways and permeable build-ups where the ground calls for it, and edges haunched in concrete before any surface is laid.
Full mortar bed, proper jointing, planting and lighting in. Then the site is swept and cleared, and Paul walks the finished garden with you.
